New Construction Regulations and Policy Enforcement

Byron Hebert,  New Construction Manager
Phone: 337-912-1409

The amount of new construction has really taken on a positive pace in recent months.  The good news is that it is great for property values.  Graywood is committed to enforcing new construction policies to insure that you are inconvenienced as little as possible.  Byron Hebert, New Construction Manager, rides the development each weekday enforcing the rules.  I do want to ask for your help by reporting to Byron    (912-1409) any infraction of the following:

  • The Big Lake entrance road is private and strictly for the convenience of Graywood residents, golfers and clubhouse patrons.  Contractors are not allowed on this road.
  • Contractors are required to keep their job sites clean at all times.
  • Concrete delivery trucks must be washed out on the owner’s lot, not on the street.
  • Stockpiling of building materials is not allowed on an adjacent lot.
  • Loud radio noise on the construction site is prohibited at all times.
  • Contractor’s exterior work must be discontinued daily at dusk.  In the summer, site workers must start cleaning up at 6:30pm and shut the site down at 7:00pm.
  • Parking of worker vehicles should be off the street whenever possible.  Other prohibited parking is on neutral grounds, pipeline right of ways and Graywood landscaped properties.
  • All construction signs are prohibited except for those mandated by the permit office.  i.e. general contractors, electrical contractors, plumbing contractors etc.
  • If a utility line is accidentally cut, it is the contractor’s responsibility to call the appropriate authority within 30 minutes.
  • Contractors may only use the utilities from the site on which they are working.
  • No trees may be removed from the resident’s property prior to approval by the New Construction Committee as per Graywood covenants.
  • A property owner is not allowed to remove trees or vegetation outside of the property line without specific approval of the NCC.
  • Residents must conceal trash cans except on trash day.

We will all benefit if the rules for new construction are strictly enforced.
